Commitment to Compliance
The principles and values defined in our mission statement apply to all CMX employees and are binding. Any violations of these principles will lead to appropriate consequences in accordance with internal policies and legal regulations.
This Code of Conduct summarizes the core principles and rules that guide our actions and represents the standards we hold ourselves to - as well as those we expect from our business partners and stakeholders.
Adherence to all applicable laws and regulations is a fundamental principle of our commitment to responsible business conduct. We always comply with legal requirements and obligations, even when doing so may result in short-term economic disadvantages or challenges for the company or individuals. If national laws impose stricter regulations than CMX’s interna policies, national law shall take precedence.
Avoiding Conflicts of Interest
At CMX, all business decisions are made solely in the best interest of the company. Conflicts of interest arising from personal matters or othereconomic activities must be avoided wherever possible. If a conflict of interest cannot be avoided, it must be reported immediately to the responsible Compliance or HR department. It must be disclosed transparently and resolved in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Fair Competition
Our conduct in the marketplace is guided by the Compliance Commitment of our executive leadership. CMX stands for technological excellence, innovation, customer orientation, and responsible, motivated employees. These values form the basis of our reputation and long-term success in global competition. Corruption poses a threat to these foundations and will not be tolerated. We reject any form of bribery or illegal means of securing business. In case of doubt, we prefer to forgo a business opportunity or internal targets rather than violate legal regulations. Our compliance program includes comprehensive measures to ensure adherence to anti-corruption and antitrust laws, as well as relevant internal policies. Violations of these rules are not tolerated and will result in consequences for the individuals involved. All managers and employees must be aware of the significant risks a corruption incident poses to both CMX and them personally. Every employee is obligated to actively support the implementation of the CMX Compliance Program and to report potential violations. We regularly offer training and workshops to ensure that all employees are familiar with relevant compliance requirements and understand how to apply them in their daily work.
Anti-Money Laundering
CMX complies fully with all legal requirements regarding anti-money laundering and does not participate in any illegal money laundering activities. Any unusual financial transactions, especially those involving cash, that could raise suspicion of money laundering must be reported immediately to the Compliance or HR department for review.
Occupational Health and Safety
The safety and well-being of our employees are just as important to CMX as the quality of our services and the economic success of our company. Occupational safety and health protection are therefore central concerns and are considered as early as the planning phase of our operational processes. All employees actively contribute to promoting safety and health in the workplace and strictly comply with all relevant regulations. Managers are responsible for training their teams accordingly and supporting the implementation of these standards. The same safety standards apply to subcontractors working on behalf of CMX as to our own employees, and this is taken into account when selecting partner companies.
Human and Labor Rights
We respect and promote internationally recognized human rights. CMX strictly rejects all forms of forced labor and child labor and ensures that all employees are fairly and appropriately compensated. Our remuneration and associated benefits comply with at least the applicable national and local legal requirements and meet the economic standards of the respective regions. Every employee has the right to fair, respectful, and dignified treatment. We are committed to equal opportunity and promote a workplace environment characterized by respect and tolerance. Within our company, we treat all employees with courtesy, honesty, and dignity. Any form of harassment, bullying, or intimidation is unacceptable.
Personnel-related decisions, whether related to hiring or disciplinary actions, must always be made objectively and without discrimination. CMX does not tolerate any discrimination based on gender, age, ethnic origin, religion, belief, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristics under anti-discrimination laws.

Respectful Communication: Treat all colleagues with respect, regardless of title, position, or management level. Pay particular attention to respectful and clear communication in video conferences, where the risk of misunderstandings can be higher. Use video calls when appropriate, as they provide valuable social cues that may be missing in other forms of communication.

Avoid Offensive Behaviour: Avoid any behavior that could offend, intimidate, belittle, or humiliate others. This includes inappropriate jokes, sarcasm, ridicule, or teasing.

Feedback Culture: Give and receive constructive feedback with a positive attitude. Effective feedback should be kind, respectful, and clear, focusing on goals and values rather than personal preferences. Feedback should always be constructive and factual, aimed at solutions and supporting individual growth. Ensure that feedback is given in a way that builds mutual trust.

Cultural Sensitivity: Be aware that what is acceptable to you may not be acceptable to everyone else. Stay open to cultural differences and actively engage with other cultures to help foster an inclusive and respectful workplace. Avoid using slang or idioms that may not be universally understood—or explain them when language or cultural barriers are present.

Time Zones and Work Habits: Be mindful of your colleagues’ time zones. Encourage work habits and practices that are productive for all team members, regardless of their location.

Taking Responsibility: If you witness inappropriate behavior or poor conduct, speak up and help create a respectful, inclusive, and supportive work environment. If someone addresses your behavior, listen openly and be willing to grow and improve.

Flexible Work Models
We support the concept of flexible work arrangements and offer employees the freedom to choose their place and time of work based on their personal needs and life circumstances. The work@home model enables employees to improve their work-life balance while also contributing to environmental protection by eliminating the need for daily commuting.
Sustainable Environmental and Climate Protection
CMX is actively committed to protecting the environment and climate bypromoting initiatives that significantly reduce CO₂ emissions. One example is our work@home concept, which helps avoid long commutes and lowers the carbon footprint of our employees. Environmental protection is considered from the very beginning of new project development, with a strong focus on the sustainable use of resources such as IT equipment to make a lasting contribution to environmental sustainability. All employees are encouraged to contribute positively to environmental and climate protection through their individual behavior.

Public Conduct and Communication
We respect the right to freedom of expression and protect the personal rights and privacy of our employees. However, all CMX employees should be aware that they may be perceived as representatives of the company even in private contexts. This is especially important in communication with the public and the media, where preserving CMX’s reputation and public image is essential. Private opinions should not be associated with one’s role or position at CMX.
Acceptance of Assignments
Our ethical standards guide us in selecting and accepting business assignments. We only accept projects that align with the skills and integrity of our employees and that do not promote the exploitation of vulnerable individuals or unethical practices. Our decisions are guided by a strong moral compass, ensuring that our actions are always in line with CMX’s values and that the dignity of those involved is respected.
Reporting
CMX is built on the core values of reliability, honesty, credibility, and integrity. We place great importance on transparent, truthful, and timely reporting and communication across all business activities. This communication is directed toward management, employees, customers, business partners, the public, and government authorities. Each employee is responsible for ensuring that internal and external reports, records, and other corporate documentation are prepared completely, accurately, and in accordance with applicable legal requirements and internal standards.
Confidential Company Information
The protection of all confidential information and corporate data is a top priority at CMX. Employees are required to maintain confidentiality in accordance with internal policies. We take all necessary measures to ensure that confidential data is protected from unauthorized access or disclosure to uninvolved colleagues or third parties. This applies to both internal information and data received from external partners or clients. All employees must handle and safeguard confidential information in compliance with the defined policies and procedures.
Data Protection and Information Security
The protection of personal data - especially that of our employees, clients, and suppliers - is of central importance at CMX. All employees must ensure that digital data is securely stored and processed, and that no unauthorized access or data misuse occurs. Personal data may only be collected or processed with a clear legal basis or with the explicit consent of the individual concerned. All employees are required to comply with applicable data protection regulations and security policies. Protection of Company Property
CMX safeguards both tangible and intangible company assets, including intellectual property, which represents a competitive advantage for the organization. CMX’s intellectual property is an asset and must be protected from unauthorized access or misuse by third parties. Company resources whether physical or digital must be used solely for business purposes and not for private use, unless explicitly authorized.
All employees are responsible for using company resources appropriately and sustainably. This includes the careful planning and execution of business travel, always maintaining a reasonable balance between travel purpose, time, and cost considerations.
Implementation and Points of Contact
The CMX Group and its affiliated companies actively promote awareness of the principles and rules outlined in this Code of Conduct and ensure that all employees are familiar with the relevant policies and agreements. Managers have a special responsibility to act as role models and consistently uphold the ethical principles of the Code. They are the primary point of contact for questions about implementing and interpreting the rules and must ensure that all employees understand and apply the Code of Conduct in their daily work.
Leaders are also responsible for identifying and preventing unacceptable behavior and for taking appropriate action to avoid rule violations within their area of responsibility. Open, honest, and respectful communication between employees and management is essential for building trust and ensuring the company’s success.
